Since fuel prices have sharply risen, singer Olga Raetska has been using public transport more often, where she frequently encounters various situations — both pleasant and not so much, reports the magazine "Jauns & Privāts."
"It’s very beneficial, convenient, and sometimes even interesting," says the pop diva about traveling on public transport.
Usually, she drives from Bukulty to Jugla, where she leaves her car, and then moves around the city by tram.
Olga admits that she often receives gifts and pleasant surprises on public transport. For example, she has been treated to strawberries, and sometimes offered alcohol and candies. However, not all tram rides bring pleasant emotions — there are also unpleasant situations related to seating.
"People often offer to give up their seats, but once a woman started scolding me in Russian for sitting. She yelled that the youth are so rude — sitting and not giving up their seats for the elderly. While scolding, she literally moved closer to me! I endured it for a while and held back... I was wearing a cap at the time, and when I no longer wanted to tolerate it, I lifted my head and told her that I am actually over 60," the artist recounted.
