An especially strong flare occurred on April 9 at 4:43 AM Kyiv time, causing significant disturbances in the ionosphere. This led to the ejection of charged particles into the atmosphere, which, in turn, significantly increased the intensity of the Earth's natural background 'hum.' The geomagnetic activity index (K-index) jumped to 3.3 on April 9, and on April 10, it even exceeded 5.0, corresponding to the level of a full-fledged geomagnetic storm.
