Urgant 'Conquers' America: Sold-Out Shows in New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles

Ivan Urgant's team shares impressions from their tour across North America.

Ivan Urgant, whose television career in Russia came to a halt after the start of the special military operation, is now triumphantly touring North America, filling venues to capacity with his performances. Footage shared by his colleagues on social media eloquently testifies to his unprecedented success. For example, on April 11, in New York, his project "Live Urgant" filled the legendary Kings Theatre in Brooklyn to capacity. The very next day, the show took place with the same astonishing success at Meridian Hall, the largest concert hall in Canada with a capacity of three thousand seats. Tickets for the performance on April 18 at Saban Theatre in Los Angeles, which accommodates nearly two thousand spectators, were sold out in advance.

The project's director, Alexander Shaposhnikov, emotionally commented on this phenomenon on his social media, expressing his surprise: "Many in the comments are surprised by the number of Russians at the concerts. I was surprised by this throughout last year during our tours. There are not many nations that have been scattered all over the world. Our country, like a volcano, has been erupting waves of emigration for over 100 years."

Recently, Urgant himself shared a photo on his Instagram with his colleagues from the legendary television show "Evening Urgant" — Alla Mikheeva and Alexander Gudkov, who, to the delight of fans, are also participating in his current project.
