This specialist provides invaluable support to dying individuals and their families during the most challenging period of saying goodbye to life. "I want to broaden my horizons. I want to become a doula for the dying," the actress shared during a meeting with students at the University of San Francisco.
Inspiration from Personal Tragedy
According to the 58-year-old star, this deep and unusual decision was prompted by a recent loss – the death of her mother, Janelle Kidman, who passed away in September 2024. "When my mother was dying, she felt lonely, and the family couldn’t always be there for her," Nicole candidly recounted. Kidman sadly noted that due to their busy schedules related to their own families and careers, neither she nor her sisters could always be by Janelle's side in her final days. However, this painful experience of loss deeply changed Nicole, and now she aims to dedicate her free time to supporting others in similar situations.
