The daughter of the former U.S. president shared deeply personal experiences about tragic events that shook her family, including the loss of a loved one and her husband's serious illness.
44-year-old Ivanka Trump, daughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, spoke openly for the first time about the tragic death of her mother, Ivana, who passed away in 2022. She shared these deeply personal revelations on the podcast Diary of a CEO.
Ivanka could not hold back tears as she remembered her mother, 73-year-old Ivana Trump (née Zelníčková), who was found unconscious on the stairs of her Manhattan home on July 14, 2022. She died later that day. "Losing a parent is always sudden, especially after COVID, which stole so many years from us," Ivanka admitted on the podcast, barely containing her emotions while recalling her mother. She also expressed regret that her three children did not get to spend more precious time with their grandmother.

Difficult Trials in the Family
Ivanka also spoke about her husband, Jared Kushner's, battle with thyroid cancer, which was diagnosed back in 2019. Jared's second surgery took place in August 2022, just a few weeks after her mother's death. The series of these exhausting events prompted Ivanka to seek professional psychological help. "I wanted to make sure I could be strong," she candidly stated.
Memories of the Assassination Attempt
During the same podcast, Ivanka recalled the assassination attempt on her father, 79-year-old Donald Trump, which occurred in July 2024 in Pennsylvania. "I was horrified, I was scared, and I wanted to protect my children. Thank God I didn’t believe the worst had happened," Ivanka said. "And thank God it didn’t happen." Notably, she emphasized the absence of hatred towards those who were behind the organization of this incident.
