The most obvious sign of phone addiction, according to the psychologist, is the obsessive desire to constantly check accounts and monitor reactions to posts. The second sign, in the specialist's opinion, is situations where the child spends so much time on the gadget that they neglect their studies and live communication with friends.
Particular concern is also raised by the so-called phenomenon of passive scrolling. When a child scrolls through social media feeds and sees perfect photos and videos, it creates a distorted view of the world, the psychologist said. Therefore, such a habit can cause anxiety and depression in the child.
