The U.S. aims to destroy Iran's offensive missiles and their production, as well as Iran's naval fleet and security infrastructure. The Pentagon's objectives were outlined by U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, as reported by The Times of Israel.

"Destroy Iran's offensive missiles, destroy Iran's missile production, destroy their naval fleet and other security infrastructure," stated the Pentagon chief, outlining the goals of the operation.

According to Hegseth, achieving these points in Washington's plan will result in Tehran being unable to acquire nuclear weapons.

Previously, Hegseth stated that there are currently no American troops in Iran. However, he did not rule out their deployment, noting that the U.S. is prepared to go far for its interests.
