In Hong Kong, a 63-year-old man attempted to save an escaped cat and fell to his death.
In Hong Kong, a cat escaped onto the ledge of a high-rise building and led to its owner's demise. This was reported by the publication Mothership.
A 63-year-old man was found with severe injuries on a flowerbed near a residential complex on the evening of February 18. He was taken to the hospital but could not be saved. It became clear that the elderly Hong Kong resident had fallen from the window of his apartment. His wife stated that she was in the shower when she heard a loud crash.
Later, residents of the neighboring building saw rescuers trying to catch a white cat that had escaped from the window onto a wide ledge below. Investigators suggested that the man saw the escaped cat outside the window, attempted to retrieve it, and fell. Ultimately, the animal was captured by the rescue team and returned to its widowed owner.
The police are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
