Chinese resident Yue Li traded a managerial position at a major company for a low-paying job on an uninhabited island. This is reported by the South China Morning Post.

Li worked for nearly 20 years at a real estate development firm in Beijing and one day became so exhausted that she decided to quit. She felt that the job was weighing her down and also taking up too much of her time. Soon, Li got a job as an inspector at a fish feeding base located on the uninhabited Dongji Island.

Now, the woman monitors the equipment at the base, measures the water temperature, and observes the growth of the fish for three thousand yuan (about 350-400 euros - editor's note) a month. Although Li left a high position, she has no regrets.
