Several men strolling down Jomas Street at the end of April were unexpectedly attacked by birds.
According to employees of one of the cafes in Jurmala, the victims have mainly been men with bald heads or thinning hair.
The waiters reported that the crows appeared in the area about a week ago and now attack almost every day from 10 AM to 5 PM.
It is presumed that the birds have built a nest somewhere nearby and are protecting their chicks.
According to ornithologist Maris Dzenis, it has been scientifically proven that crows can recognize faces.
"Probably, some bald person in the past treated these birds poorly, and now they mistake all bald people for that same offender," the expert shared his opinion.
