Legendary director Steven Spielberg, preparing for the premiere of the film “Day of Disclosure,” shared his interest in extraterrestrial life.
According to the 79-year-old filmmaker, he has always been fascinated by phenomena that cannot be explained. “When I was a child, I was particularly drawn to the night sky. I always felt that there is life beyond our planet,” Spielberg noted.
The director emphasized that his curiosity about the mysteries of space has been a source of inspiration for many of his films — from shark adventures to stories about flying saucers.
In December, Spielberg presented the teaser for his new film for the first time, featuring Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. Previously, Variety reported that the project is based on an original idea by the director and is being developed in collaboration with screenwriter David Koepp, known for “Jurassic Park” (1993) and “War of the Worlds” (2005).
“People have always been concerned with questions about what happens beyond our sky and our reality. Are we alone? And if someone knows the answer, why haven’t we been told?” Spielberg added, sharing his thoughts on space.
