The future monarch wishes to provide a "fresh start" for his three children.
Prince William has been banned from riding his electric scooter on the grounds of his new home in Windsor Great Park, it is claimed.
William and Catherine have moved into Forest Lodge, a Grade II listed building located on a sprawling 4,800-acre estate in Berkshire, after leaving their previous residence, Adelaide Cottage, last year.

They have decided to make this Georgian-style mansion their "forever home" and are aiming to provide a "fresh start" for their three children: 12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 7-year-old Prince Louis.
But while this eight-bedroom mansion is an upgrade from their previous home — as Forest Lodge is twice the size of Adelaide Cottage — there seems to be one small drawback for the future king.
Royal park rules state that electric scooters, William's preferred mode of transport, are "not permitted" on the grounds "for safety and traffic management reasons."
This means he will not be able to zip around on his two-wheeled vehicle as he did previously while living in a separate estate at Windsor Castle, located just four miles away.
"William loved riding his electric scooter around the castle as there was no ban," an insider told The Sun. "But of course, he is more than happy and willing to abide by the rules regarding scooters in Windsor Great Park."
It was first reported in July 2023 that the father of three had invested in an electric scooter to zip around the castle. He purchased it to cut down the travel time for the three-mile trip to visit his father, King Charles.
The prince, who is known as an environmentalist, has since been frequently spotted using the eco-friendly mode of transport while carrying out his royal duties.
He delighted royal fans when he was spotted zooming on his electric scooter around the royal residence in Berkshire in July 2024.
A video surfaced on social media showing William, dressed in a blue sweater with a white shirt underneath and black trousers, effortlessly riding in stylish sunglasses.
And in October, William was spotted on the scooter again as he greeted actor Eugene Levy during the filming of an episode for his Apple+ TV series "The Reluctant Traveler."
In the clip, the prince glides smoothly on the scooter before coming to a controlled stop and dismounting in front of the show’s host, causing Eugene to burst into laughter.
"Is that your mode of transport?" Eugene asked, to which the prince confirmed it was, when he was "on the grounds."
"I have a very low threshold for adventure, so I’ve never actually ridden one of those," Eugene added.
"It rides well, it’s quite fun," William replied.
