Romanian singer Paula Seling apologized for a phrase in Russian that she said during the national selection for "Eurovision-2026" in Chisinau. She published the corresponding post on her Facebook page.
During the competition, Seling said the phrase "Well done, Moldova." After that, the performer faced criticism from several TV hosts, public figures, and politicians. As a result, she had to apologize.
In her address, the singer stated that she is a person who does not know the words commonly used. Seling has recently been moving in different circles and collaborating with many local musicians. She claims that she heard this word as a form of gratitude, so she decided to use it as well.
