A resident of the neighboring country of Lithuania - Belarus bought a psychiatric hospital in the Grodno region for a pittance and settled in it.

A resident of Belarus, Dmitry, purchased a complex of buildings of a former psychiatric hospital in the village of Zhodishki for $100 (7,800 rubles), moved in, and converted the premises into an art gallery. This was reported by Onliner.

The building was constructed in the 18th century as a Jesuit college. Later, it was used as a manor, and during the Soviet era, it housed a psychiatric hospital. The institution was closed after a fire in 2019.

Nameplates remain on the doors of the offices, and there are safes for medications in the rooms. There are also bars on the windows, layers of bright blue and green paint, and inscriptions on the walls. The new owner has placed landscapes, surrealistic portraits, and abstract works in the corridors and former wards.
