In the USA, a 91-year-old man and a 90-year-old woman had a wedding in a church.
In the city of Hopewell, USA, 91-year-old Harold Pugh and 90-year-old Frances had the wedding of their dreams on the 70th anniversary of their marriage. This was reported by WTVR.
Harold and Frances met in the 1950s at an ice rink. Soon they began a romance and got married when they were 21 and 20. At that time, the man and woman simply registered their marriage and did not hold any ceremony.
In 2026, friends and relatives of the couple decided that they needed a real wedding. They organized it in a church. Frances and Harold exchanged vows of love and fidelity before the altar.
"After all these years, I still love him, cherish him, and appreciate everything he has done for me," Frances admitted. During the ceremony, the couple was asked how to achieve such a strong marriage. "Choose the right person to spend the rest of your life with, and secondly, and no less importantly, put God first," they replied.
