In the Zlin Region of the Czech Republic, firefighters were called to search for a one-and-a-half-year-old kangaroo named Skip, which the family had acquired for their children for Christmas, reports the Novinky portal.

The animal disappeared from its owners' garden on Christmas Eve. Firefighters set out to search for the kangaroo the next day, reporting that it posed a threat to traffic safety.

"Firefighters attempted to catch the animal with a net, but they were unsuccessful on the first try. The second attempt was successful, and the kangaroo was handed over to its owner. The entire capture lasted about three quarters of an hour," said Zlin Region fire department representative David Martynets.

Skip's owners asked the public for help on social media, and their request was shared by the community, which later informed everyone that the animal had been caught.

The community wrote that the kangaroo Skip stands 80 centimeters tall, weighs eighteen kilograms, is not dangerous, and is very timid.
