The renowned director praised the literary abilities of the actress.
Fedor Bondarchuk publicly spoke about Paulina Andreeva for the first time since their divorce. The director praised his ex-wife for her work on the series "Psych," for which she wrote the script. Fedor described this period of life with Paulina as "incredible."
"It was an incredible period of life. She was delivering episodes, she read the script to me herself," Bondarchuk said on Vadim Vernik's show "Actor's Studio," noting that the series "Psych" had the highest rating among all his works.
Vernik, in turn, pointed out that Bondarchuk smiled the whole time while reminiscing about that period of his life. The director defended Paulina, who was accused of having her script written by "literary slaves."
"Every letter and every comma was written by only one author. This is the text of Paulina Andreeva. I was horrified to read that this is not her text, that she was helped. This is complete nonsense. I can imagine how hurtful it was for her to read this," Fedor stated.
Bondarchuk and Andreeva married in September 2019. The director and his chosen one held a lavish celebration at the Yusupov Palace in St. Petersburg. Paulina is 21 years younger than Fedor, which caused quite a stir at the time.
In March 2025, the actress published a joint photo with her husband and wrote about her decision to part ways with him.
"After nine years of living together, we have decided to separate. The formality of words about deep respect and gratitude for each other cannot describe our true feelings, which we still hold, even after deciding not to be together as husband and wife. We hope that we will have joint work and friendship. And, of course, we will forever be the parents of our wonderful son. Everything changes. Our story has changed too," the actress wrote.
According to acquaintances, Paulina and Fedor did not see eye to eye on life. He is said to be a lover of noisy companies, while she is a homebody. Ultimately, Paulina simply could not withstand her husband's tumultuous lifestyle. But for the sake of his beloved woman, Bondarchuk decided to change.
Earlier, the media reported that the couple reconsidered their decision to divorce and decided to save their marriage. And although they have not yet appeared together at film premieres, everything suggests that Fedor and Paulina have given their relationship a second chance.
