Former spouses Madonna and Guy Ritchie made a rare joint appearance, supporting their son Rocco's art project in London. For fans, this became a significant moment in the relationship between the artists, who have long been living separate lives.
In London, 25-year-old artist Rocco Ritchie presented his art project Talk Is Cheap, and both of his parents were spotted at the exhibition opening. The young creator shared a joint photo with Madonna and Guy Ritchie on his blog, accompanied by a heartfelt confession: “I am proud of who I am, but even prouder that both of my parents came together in one room to support me.”
Madonna and Guy Ritchie were married for eight years — from 2000 to 2008. Their divorce was accompanied by disagreements, including differences in career schedules and family plans. After their separation, their relationship became complicated by a custody battle over their son, especially in 2015–2016, when Rocco decided to stay with his father in London. Ultimately, the conflict was resolved, and Rocco officially moved to the UK.
The singer later spoke candidly about the heaviness of those years. In Jay Shetty's podcast On Purpose, Madonna admitted that during the struggle for her son, she felt so intensely that she considered ending her life: “I was thinking, ‘I can’t bear this pain anymore,’” she said, emphasizing her fear of losing her child.
At the exhibition opening, Guy Ritchie attended with his wife Jackie Ainslie — with whom he has been married for over ten years and is raising three children. Madonna attended the event with her boyfriend Ahlamalik Morris.
