The director of the Daile Music House, Anda Zadovska, received an unusual gift from the beloved composer Raimonds Pauls — he brought her a bag full of real treasures, as reported in Evija Kalnberza's article ‘The Maestro Gives Away His Tie Collection’ in the publication Privātā Dzīve.
“It seems he gave away all the ties that Pauls had at home; maybe there is still some left with him. In any case, there are a lot of them, a whole bag, I haven't even counted them yet. Raimonds just brought them and said, ‘You will find this useful,’” said Zadovska.
Pauls himself admits that his daughter Anete always gives him ties, and they are special. She bought them in France, Denmark, and other countries.
