The mega-star of the stage was born in the town of Aktarsk in the Saratov region.
Singer Valeria found the infamous female happiness on her third attempt. Meeting producer Joseph Prigozhin gave the artist a sense of security that she once could only dream of.
Reflecting on her relationship with her beloved husband, with whom the celebrity has lived for over 20 years, Valeria does not try to hide the truth.
According to the vocalist, her husband has a fiery temperament, so sometimes there are quarrels in the family. Joseph Prigozhin appreciates in his beloved her ability to provide moral support in difficult situations. As for Valeria, in the producer, the blonde found not only a man but also a decent person whom even her loved ones can rely on.
“I am also a bit of an expert in this area. I have had it this way and that way. I cannot say that we have a perfect marriage. Well, nothing is perfect. We are very different. Of course, we try to change each other in some way. But still, it seems to me that the key moment is when a person appears next to you who is ready to take care of you. Who is ready to relieve you of the burden of problems. And this is so valuable, especially when you have carried these problems alone all your life… And he cares not only about you but about all those who are dear to you… It’s like a wall, and not just for me,” the singer reflects in a recent interview.
Before becoming the wife of the producer, the artist had been burned twice in relationships with men. Of course, there were also many positives, as in her second marriage, the vocalist gave birth to three children, who are now her joy. Interestingly, Valeria never saw herself as alone.
Even after divorcing her second husband and experiencing many upheavals, she continued to believe that sooner or later she would meet the right person. But for everything to work out, the artist advises not to get hung up on the search for a partner. As soon as a woman goes on the hunt, men often scatter.
“By the way, a life hack: men are attracted to some kind of relaxation on this topic. Really, I was so relaxed about it that I attracted men myself. Girls, maybe you should value yourselves more… Maybe girls take on too much, and this strength overwhelms them, and men feel it and think: ‘Oh, perhaps I am not a competitor here; she has more strength than I do,’” Valeria shared how she managed to reel in Prigozhin.
In July 2014, Valeria, along with Joseph Kobzon and Oleg Gazmanov, was placed on the black list of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for “aggressively supporting the annexation of Crimea” and disrespectfully commenting on the actions of the Ukrainian authorities. In November, Valeria wrote a letter to Latvian President Andris Berzins in Latvian, asking him to evaluate the actions of Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics and to cancel the decision to ban her entry into the country.
Ukrainian activists accused Valeria and Kobzon of “openly supporting terrorist organizations — ‘DPR’ and ‘LPR,’ against whose leaders EU sanctions have been imposed.” On December 1, Berzins sent a response to the letter, stating that if the minister changed his decision, the president could reduce or lift the existing ban.
On January 7, 2023, amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Valeria was added to Ukraine's sanctions list for her “role in Russian propaganda.” On July 20, 2023, she was included in Canada's sanctions list against “individuals using their art to promote Russia's invasion of Ukraine.” She was also included in the FBK's list of corrupt individuals and war instigators for participating in concerts supporting the war with Ukraine.
