The singer shared that she has to rebuild her stage life in Latvia.
Since 2022, Svetlana Loboda has been living in Latvia, leaving behind a successful career in Russia. According to the artist, the move has been a true "reset" of her professional life, and now she feels like she is starting anew from the very beginning.
A New Start in Career
"When I stepped onto the stage, I felt as if I was starting everything from the very beginning, as if those stadiums that existed before were no longer there. It’s the feeling of falling from a great height. And consciously. It’s not just that you were thrown out, but you have moved yourself to another time, to another environment. It’s like being reborn again, like a small artist. Small venues again, feeling the ground beneath your feet again, trying to find music again. And at the same time, you stand uncertainly, not understanding where to move and what will happen next. And even now, there is little confidence in tomorrow," Loboda shared.
Difficulties of Touring and Vocal Training
The singer admits that touring is challenging for her:
- constant flights from city to city;
- problems with her vocal cords due to lack of sleep and fatigue;
- daily lessons with a vocal coach to maintain her form.
"Otherwise, I understand that I won’t be able to cope," Loboda adds.
Position on Musical Hits
Although the artist has released songs in other languages, they did not become popular. She has been offered to translate already known hits into foreign languages, but she categorically refuses:
"I have a clear position, and I always try to stick to it. I will not translate songs that millions love into Ukrainian. These songs should live the life they have lived all these years," the singer explained.
Realities of an Emigrant Career
