The jury of the "Supernova" contest selected 24 participants from 124 submitted applications for the semifinal, LETA reports. One of them will represent Latvia at Eurovision next year.
The semifinalists include: Agnesse with the song "Oh My My", Aivo Oskis with the song "Walking Out", Antra Stafecka with the song "Divejāda", Atvara with the song "Ēnā", Blurie with the song "Lovin' Always Gets Me Down", Daba with the song "Panic Attack", the group "De Mantra" with the song "Let Them", Edvards Strazdiņš with the song "I Ain't Got The Guts", the group "ELPO" with the song "Blakus", Emilija with the song "All We Ever Had", "Honey Blue" with the song "Blue Disco", and Ivo Grīsniņš-Grīslis with the song "Home".
Also advancing to the semifinal are Jānis Rugājs with the song "Smoke", "Kautkaili" with the song "Te un tagad", Krisy with the song "Take It", Kristīne Megija with the song "Insanity", Legzdina with the song "Ribbon", Miks Galvanovskis with the song "Cruel Angel", Nolark with the song "Different Places", "Papīra lidmašīnas" with the song "You're My Saviour", Paula with the song "Dejot vien", Robert Ox with the song "Ravin' At The Taj Mahal", Tikasha Sakama with the song "#010126 CODA", and Vēstnieks with the song "Vai tas ir kāds brīnums?".
All semifinal songs will be available for listening starting December 4 on the "Supernova" contest YouTube channel.
The semifinal performances will take place live on January 31 and February 7, 2026, where participants will compete for a place in the final. The winner of the contest, determined by the jury and viewers during the final voting on February 14, will have the right to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest in May in the capital of Austria — Vienna.
