Strong Flares Resume on the Sun

Strong flares have resumed on the Sun after a two-week break. This is reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory on its Telegram channel.

"The Sun is experiencing a resurgence of strong flare activity, last observed in mid-October and interrupted for two weeks," the scientists' publication states.

It notes that on Sunday, November 2, from 02:26 to 02:37 Riga time, an M1.0 flare was observed on the eastern edge of the Sun, classified as the fourth level of activity on the 5-level scale used in solar physics, and is a precursor to a surge in solar activity that may last from November 3 to 9.

In October, a very large explosion was reported on the far side of the celestial body.
