French researchers Olivier Bonassi and Michel-Yves Bollor presented a work claiming that modern scientific discoveries confirm the existence of a higher intelligence. This is stated in their new book, where the authors explore the relationship between science and religion.
Scientists analyzed the views of more than a hundred well-known researchers, including 62 Nobel Prize winners, and concluded that the Universe may be the result of a conscious design rather than chance.
The central argument of Bonassi and Bollor is the Big Bang theory, which describes the emergence of space, time, and matter from 'nothing' about 14 billion years ago. In their opinion, this process can be viewed as scientific confirmation of an act of creation.
The authors also refer to the hypothesis of a 'fine-tuned Universe': life is possible only due to the precise alignment of physical constants. Even the slightest deviation would make the existence of the world impossible, which, in their view, indicates the presence of an intelligent design.
Moreover, the mathematicians point to the unique complexity of DNA, considering it as an argument in favor of the intelligent origin of life. They note that the probability of transitioning from inanimate matter to living matter is extremely low, and the structure of the genetic code is too perfect to be the result of chance.
The book also draws parallels between the postulates of the theory of relativity and the biblical image of light, while quantum entanglement, according to the scientists, indicates the existence of a level of reality beyond classical physics.
In conclusion, the authors note: modern science does not refute faith; on the contrary, it opens up space for a new understanding of the idea of an intelligent Creator.
