The 49-year-old artist was not allowed to take his wealth of 20,000,000 euros out of his homeland.
Currently, the comedian is traveling the world, trying to earn a decent living for his family. After leaving Russia, the humorist lost his TV contracts and advertising fees. Now he has to give three times more concerts than before. This is not surprising, as his wife Alla Pugacheva is used to a luxurious life and does not want to change her habits.
The comedian is proud that his tour schedule is booked for several months in advance. However, he performs mainly in small venues in front of a limited audience. Israeli resident Mikhail Khurin explained why Israelis attend Galkin's concerts. According to him, his compatriots come out of curiosity, like visiting a zoo – to see a live hippopotamus.
Since the couple left Russia, their life has changed. During another concert abroad, Galkin admitted that he and Alla had to tighten their belts. According to the comedian, Pugacheva refers to their existence abroad with one succinct word: "golozhoping."
After their departure, the star couple initially settled in Israel, and after the start of the military conflict in that country – in Cyprus, where they have real estate. Due to their father's whims, who decided to take them far from their homeland, the couple's children, Harry and Lisa, cannot receive a proper education. The twins frequently change schools, which negatively affects their mental health.
Abroad, Pugacheva leads the life of an ordinary housewife. Her husband is hardly ever home, constantly on tour. The bored retiree hardly communicates with anyone and spends her time in shops and cafes.
The media also found out that the comedian tried to transport his wealth from his castle in the Moscow region village of Gryaz to Israel. However, customs officers at Sheremetyevo Airport detained the valuable cargo: it turned out that some of the items had improperly processed documents. The total value of Galkin's antiques was estimated at nearly 2 billion rubles (20,000,000 euros). Apparently, Maxim hoped to sell the valuables and live on that money abroad.
