Doctors Warned About the Risk of Death from a Popular Antipyretic Drug

El Pais: paracetamol overdose increases the risk of death.

Doctors Maita Masa, Rosa Pérez, and Iria Migens from the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine urged against self-medication for any illnesses, even a cold. They discussed this, particularly the dangers of one popular antipyretic drug, with the publication El Pais.

The doctors warned that an overdose of paracetamol can lead to liver failure. Moreover, this medication, when consumed excessively, increases the risk of death, they added.

Health problems can also be caused by ibuprofen, the specialists continued. Additionally, they advised against the uncontrolled use of potency-enhancing drugs, which have recently become popular among young people. The doctors noted that often people take these medications not due to erectile issues, but out of fear of losing it in bed.
