On June 28, Andrejosta will once again become one of the main venues for summer recreation in Riga. From 15:00 to 20:00 at Eksporta Street, 3A, the free Riga Riverside Festival will take place, combining music, family entertainment, gastronomic zones, and a spectacular sailing yacht parade on the Daugava.
The festival has been bringing together residents and visitors of the capital for the third consecutive year, offering a summer day by the water in a relaxed atmosphere. The organizers have prepared a program for visitors of all ages: creative workshops, family activities, large wooden games, and retro carousels.
Throughout the event, there will be a street food area where visitors can try a variety of dishes and drinks — from oysters and pizza to burgers, waffles, and grilled dishes.
The musical program will kick off with the UKULELE project, which will perform for the youngest guests of the festival. Also taking the stage will be Finķis and popular Latvian singer Intars Busulis along with Abonementa orķestris. DJ Judzhen will provide the musical accompaniment and summer atmosphere.
The highlight of the evening will be the sailing parade of the GoRR regatta, which will take place on the Daugava from 18:00 to 19:00. About fifty yachts will ceremoniously sail down the river, creating an impressive spectacle for viewers on the waterfront.
According to the organizers, the goal of the festival is to strengthen the local community, promote leisure by the water, and develop a modern urban environment in Riga.
