Colombian singer Shakira is once again in the spotlight of football and music fans. Her new video for the song Dai Dai, recorded with Nigerian artist Burna Boy, has rapidly climbed to the top of the global YouTube charts.
The composition has become the official musical track for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The video showed impressive results within the first hours after its release: within a day, the clip garnered over eight million views, and after 36 hours, the audience exceeded 13 million. As a result, the video took the top spot among the most popular videos on the YouTube platform.
The video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis. It features world football stars — Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Erling Haaland, who open the video and set its sporting mood.
For Shakira, collaborating with FIFA is not new. In 2010, her song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) became one of the most recognizable football anthems in the world and remains one of the most popular compositions associated with the World Cups.
