Chaos - the Daile Theatre forces viewers to cover their phone lenses

The Daile Theatre has decided to introduce stricter rules. The theatre announced this on social media.

"The theatre introduces additional conditions for viewers during certain performances to particularly remind them that filming videos and taking photographs during performances is prohibited. The Daile Theatre, especially recently, has been facing unauthorized use of mobile phone cameras during performances. In the future, when attending certain performances, all viewers will be asked to show their phones, and theatre staff will request that they cover their cameras with special stickers. Each performance is the intellectual property of the authors and the theatre, which is prohibited from being photographed, filmed, and distributed.

The use of phones during performances distracts not only the viewers but, unfortunately, also interferes with the work of the actors on stage. This decision at the Daile Theatre has also been made considering practices introduced in recent years in other theatres across Europe, which also face the necessity to limit the use of phones during performances. The theatre is grateful to all its viewers who always attend performances respectfully and asks for understanding regarding the theatre's decision and support by also agreeing to cover their phone cameras until the end of the performance," the statement says.
