From April 10 to 12, the "Lielais dzintars" concert hall will host the contemporary music festival "Days of Baltic Music 2026",

On April 10 at 19:00, a series of events will open in Liepaja with a concert program based on ancient Greek philosophy of time. The Liepaja Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Lithuanian conductor Modestas Barkauskas, will present the premiere of three new works by Baltic composers. The premieres will be "Candela" by Janis Petrashkevich, "Up-Time" by Ilona Brege, and "Per Sense" by Dominikas Digima.

Before the concert, the audience is invited to meet with the composers to learn more about the ideas behind the program, the creative paths of the authors, and the process of creating new works. The discussion will take place at 18:00 on the 1st floor of the concert hall.

"Days of Baltic Music" is a creative platform where from April 9 to 17, listeners will be able to hear at least 15 premieres of works from the Baltic States, as well as at least 30 other pieces, many of which will be performed for the first time in Latvia. Half of the concerts will take place in Riga, and the other half in Liepaja.
