Filming of the detective series 'Kamenetskaya. Reboot' has begun in the Moscow region, which will become a 'new breath' for the cult story performed by young actors. The main role will be played by Yulia Khlynina.
"The series 'Kamenetskaya' is the first major series project I produced. I have a special relationship with it: it was both the first and, as I believe, a successful attempt. They say you can't step into the same river twice, but I will try. It is important to preserve the main thing — the combination of a good, quality detective with bright, lively, charismatic characters. This was the hallmark of 'Kamenetskaya' 25 years ago, and I hope we can convey and preserve this in the new version of the series," said the project's general producer Valery Todorovsky.
The beloved characters from Alexandra Marinina's novels and the famous series — Kamenetskaya (Yulia Khlynina), Gordeev 'Kolobok' (Vitaly Kovalenko), Korotkov (Dmitry Kulichkov), Lesnikov (Pavel Popov), and Chistyakov (Pavel Artemyev) — unravel the most sophisticated crimes in the realities of our time and new circumstances. The director is Kirill Pletnev.
Police Major Anastasia Kamenetskaya is an analyst in the capital's criminal investigation department, one of the best operatives on Petrovka, 38. She takes on seemingly unsolvable cases and is capable of understanding the most tangled circumstances. Each investigation for her is not only an intellectual challenge but also an immersion in complex human feelings and relationships. While solving intricate and mysterious murders, Kamenetskaya will inevitably get to the truth, no matter what dangers it may bring.
"For me, this is undoubtedly a big challenge. I fully understand that the new version will inevitably be compared to the first 'Kamenetskaya', and that is natural. But both then and now, this film is primarily about people — with their everyday concerns, feelings, internal conflicts, and desires. We are telling a story not only about investigations but about characters, about life, about what happens to a person inside. Our heroes just have such a profession — catching criminals," admits director Kirill Pletnev.
