Jermaine Jackson, Michael Jackson's older brother, has announced the launch of a traveling museum featuring the singer's artistic works. The first exhibition will open in Monaco at the end of 2026 as part of the biennale and will showcase 120 pieces from the museum's collection.
Previously, the works, valued at a total of $1.6 billion, were stored in a warehouse in Washington. Among them is a portrait of Marilyn Monroe worth $160 million, which Jackson signed along with Andy Warhol. The collection also includes other works, including a series of portraits of Jackson created by Warhol (1984): one of them appeared on the cover of Time magazine. Additionally, the new museum owns portraits of U.S. Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln painted by Jackson.
The museum's opening is intentionally scheduled for 2026: in April, the biopic "Michael" will be released worldwide, attracting an already prepared audience to become acquainted with Jackson's artistic works.
