There are known cases when great tits attack other birds.
The diet of tits may also include beetles, bees, smaller rodents, and other organisms.
“However, it cannot be stated that the tit is an aggressive predator,” notes biologist and ecologist Svyatoslav Zabelin. “Even on frosty winter days, 90% of this bird's diet consists of plant food.
The tit does not hunt sparrows as a kite does. Only on the most hungry days may it resort to a meat diet,” he adds.
