Is it necessary to trim a parrot's beak?

I have a parrot. I read that it needs a beak trim. Is this really necessary?

“Beak trimming is an important procedure,” says emergency veterinarian Vyacheslav RUSYAEV. “If this procedure is ignored, the bird may have difficulty eating, which can lead to a deficiency of vitamins and minerals. Additionally, a long beak makes it difficult for a talking parrot to speak; it won’t be able to chirp or make various sounds. The feathered friend will also struggle to properly care for its feathers.

The beak can grow not only for natural reasons. Its active growth can be caused by various fungal diseases, an unbalanced diet, or an excess of calcium in the body. The need for beak shortening can be determined by its appearance (it starts to twist and resemble a hook) or by the pet's refusal to eat.

It is recommended to consult a veterinarian for this procedure.”
