Why Dogs Choose The Beatles: 5 Amazing Facts

Hello, dog lovers! Let's see how well you know your four-legged friend. We have prepared amazing facts for you that you probably have never heard before!

It sounds astonishing, but dogs have a third eyelid! This additional eyelid moves back and forth across the surface of the eye, providing protection and distributing the tear film. The third eyelid is also known as the nictitating membrane.

Did you know that in the Beatles song “A Day in the Life” there is a sound of an ultrasonic whistle that can only be heard by dogs? It was recorded by Paul McCartney for his Shetland Sheepdog.

Newfoundlands are magnificent rescuers! This breed has waterproof fur and webbed feet, making them ideal for swimming. They were originally bred to assist fishermen and rescue people from drowning.

In 1912, the famous Titanic sank, and few animals survived. There were 12 dogs on board, but only three survived, all of them were first-class passengers: two Spitz and one Pekingese.

Dogs have a sense of time! Most of them are never late for dinner — they know when and at what time their owner is supposed to feed them. They can even distinguish between noon and 6 PM. These furry friends always know when to expect their owner's return and start pacing by the door at the right moment.
