How to Grow Lush Dill Bushes: Simple Tips

Many gardeners disregard dill, which affects the harvest.

It takes a little effort to ensure that dill greens regularly appear on your table throughout the season.

How to Achieve a Rich Dill Harvest

Garden dill is not as prolific as weeds.

Over time, there may be a degeneration of varietal traits, and instead of a lush green bush, a weak stem with poor foliage may grow.

To avoid this problem, it is recommended to sow a new variety of dill annually in a specially designated bed.

The main reasons for poor dill growth are dry soil and overcrowded plantings.

Before the seedlings emerge, it is important to keep the soil moist. In this case, the sprouts will appear in just 10-12 days.

The second rule is regular watering. Dill, as is known, requires a lot of water. It needs sufficient watering; otherwise, you may end up with small, coarse leaves that lack flavor and aroma.

In case of dense seedlings, thinning should be done, leaving a distance of 15-20 centimeters between the plants.

Dill blooms well and abundantly in hot summers with frequent watering.

If umbrella formation is not planned, the garlic bed can be divided into several parts, and seeds can be sown at intervals of 2-3 weeks.
