The key when coming out of a fast is moderation.
“During the fast, the composition of the gut microbiota undergoes changes, so it is necessary to gradually adapt the body to animal proteins and fats,” notes nutritionist and dietitian Tatyana BOLOZ. “First of all, reintroduce fermented dairy products (kefir, yogurt, cottage cheese) into your diet. After five days, you can introduce eggs (no more than two per day), lean meat, and fish. It is important to stick to three balanced meals a day. Breakfast should occur within the first hour after waking up, and dinner should be no later than three hours before sleep.
Prefer dishes that are steamed, baked, stewed, or boiled. Serve vegetables as a side dish to meat, as fiber will help your gut effectively process and absorb food.”
