Which water is preferable to drink – carbonated or non-carbonated?

Hygienist and epidemiologist Svetlana CHAikovskaya recommends giving preference to non-carbonated water whenever possible. It is more natural and easier for the body to absorb, both for children and adults.

“Undoubtedly, carbonated water also has its beneficial properties: it helps to lower cholesterol levels, increases the number of red blood cells in the blood, which, in turn, improves the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the cells.

However, it is advisable to refrain from consuming carbonated water in cases of increased sensitivity of the stomach walls, peptic ulcers, and gastritis.”
