Agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh stated that iodine is an excellent fertilizer for strawberries.
To prepare the fertilizer, it is necessary to mix a cup of ash with a bucket of water, then add 10 drops of iodine. After thorough mixing, it can be used. The fertilizer should be applied around the strawberry bushes, with each area receiving about 1.5 liters of the solution. Kovrizhnykh noted that this fertilization will significantly increase both the quantity and quality of the fruits, as well as help get rid of pests and diseases.
Earlier, Anastasia Kovrizhnykh recommended using tobacco dust for fertilizing strawberries. This natural remedy effectively combats various pests such as aphids, ants, weevils, and cruciferous flea beetles, and also improves soil composition. For three strawberry beds, only two liters of tobacco dust will be needed, Kovrizhnykh added.
