Consultant nutritionist Alexey Kabanov noted that tinctures, herbal teas, and other products made from dandelions are contraindicated for people with gastrointestinal diseases, such as ulcers and gastritis.
The expert also pointed out the negative consequences of dandelion jam. According to him, during heat treatment, the plant loses many beneficial properties and vitamins, and the added sugar can cause serious harm to the body, contributing to the development of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and atherosclerosis.
“I recommend just eating a carrot, without sugar. It is beneficial for both teeth and eye health,” the specialist added.
