There is a lot to do at the summer cottage right now. Which tasks should be prioritized in the garden?
Install trapping belts made of corrugated paper or cardboard, soaked in a solution of chlorophos, carbophos, or kerosene (10 g per 1 l of water), on the trunks of apple trees to protect the harvest from crawling pests from the ground.
Before the buds open on fruit trees, spray against pests with a dandelion infusion or a fermented weed infusion. A 0.7% urea solution can also be used for treatment.
When red currant leaves show raspberry swellings, this indicates the presence of the red gall aphid. Treat the bushes with a solution of drinking or calcined soda (3 tablespoons per 10 l of water).
During the leaf unfolding on apple trees, conduct the first abundant watering (6 buckets for young apple trees, 12-15 buckets for mature ones). In dry weather, water berries, young vegetables, and greens, as their roots are located at a depth of 10-25 cm and dry out quickly.
Periodically spray apple trees with coniferous extract, weed infusion, or conifer needles to disorient pests.
