How to tell if a spider mite has infested your houseplant?

As florist Tatyana TROFIMLYUK explained, the main sign of a plant being infested by spider mites is a fine web, on which, if you look closely, you can see small dots. This is the colony of spider mites. Leaves may also turn yellow, fall off, or become deformed. The pest reproduces quickly in low humidity, so for prevention, mist your plants and rinse them with warm water once a month to wash away dust and potential pests.
