How to Properly Prepare Cabbage Seeds for Seedlings?

This year, I plan to grow early varieties of cabbage for the first time. I would like to know how to prepare the seeds for sowing and obtain quality seedlings.

- In the third decade of March, the seeds should be warmed in hot water (temperature 45-50°C) for 10 minutes. Prepare a soil mixture of peat and turf soil, filling the box with a layer no more than 5 cm. The distance between the furrows should be 3 cm, and the depth - 1 cm. Before sowing, it is necessary to moisten the soil. Place the seeds 1-1.5 cm apart from each other.

Three to four days after the seedlings appear, the box should be moved to the coldest and brightest place, where the temperature at night is 7-8°C, and during the day - 10-12°C. Twelve days after the seedlings appear, transplant the plants into pots measuring 8x8 cm, burying them in the soil up to the cotyledon leaves.

Two days after transplanting, harden the seedlings again. It is beneficial to take the seedlings outdoors if the daytime temperature reaches 5°C and above.
