Therapist Andrey Sakharov shared recommendations for preparing the body for spring.
“There is a common misconception that immunity weakens with the arrival of spring. Frequent colds, which many perceive as a sign of decreased immune protection, are actually associated with an increase in respiratory diseases. To protect yourself from dangerous viruses, it is necessary to get vaccinated and adhere to preventive measures,” noted the specialist.
The doctor also advises reviewing your diet, increasing the intake of protein and fatty acids, maintaining a daily routine, sleeping at least 7-8 hours a day, and engaging in more physical activity.
“You can add additional vitamins and minerals to your diet. For example, omega-3, vitamin D, magnesium, and selenium. These substances are often lacking in the body after the winter period. However, before starting to take vitamins, it is important to consult a doctor. He will suggest undergoing necessary tests to determine deficiencies and then prescribe suitable vitamins and their dosages,” concluded the physician.
