The Doctor Explained the Dangers of Painkillers

Doctor Alexander Myasnikov emphasized that many people do not take the issue of using painkillers seriously enough.

According to him, patients take medications such as ibuprofen, paracetamol, acetylsalicylic acid, and others without realizing the true causes of their pain.

“For example, aspirin should categorically not be given to children, as it can lead to tragic consequences. Tinnitus is not the most serious side effect; much more dangerous are brain hemorrhages and gastrointestinal bleeding. Even small doses and protective coatings do not guarantee the absence of serious problems. Although a single dose is unlikely to cause complications, today aspirin is no longer used as a painkiller but mainly as an anticoagulant for medical indications,” the doctor noted.

Myasnikov also warned that painkillers primarily have a negative impact on the gastrointestinal tract, as they block the action of biologically active substances that protect the gastric mucosa. Additionally, these medications can provoke heart attacks, strokes, and increased blood pressure.
