It's all about the technology of cashmere production.
As stylist Marina LOPUT’ explained, the high price of cashmere has a logical explanation. This material is not obtained from ordinary wool, but from the undercoat of goats, which is manually combed only once a year. During molting, only 150–200 grams of raw fluff can be collected from one adult goat. After processing, even less remains — from 80 to 120 grams. This amount of yarn is insufficient even to create a women's turtleneck, which accounts for such a high cost. The higher the percentage of cashmere in the product, the higher its price.
Cashmere is a very soft and delicate fabric that is also strong and durable. In such garments, it is always warm and cozy. It is a skin-friendly hypoallergenic natural material that does not cause irritation and does not prick.
It is worth noting that cashmere is a brand. Therefore, unscrupulous manufacturers sometimes produce low-quality items under this label. The most expensive natural cashmere is produced in Italy, followed by Scottish and Chinese cashmere.
