There is an opinion that climbing stairs on foot helps reduce the likelihood of developing cardiovascular diseases…
It is indeed true, as confirmed by recent research from Tulane University in the United States, published in the journal Atherosclerosis.
The researchers analyzed data from over 450,000 adult participants. Participants were surveyed about the presence of cardiovascular diseases in their family history, risk factors, as well as their habits and lifestyle, specifically how often they climb stairs on foot.
After analyzing the data, the scientists concluded that the risk of cardiovascular diseases decreases by 20% if at least 50 steps are climbed daily on foot.
