In the coming days, magnetic storms may begin on Earth due to the appearance of a new coronal hole on the Sun.
"Another noteworthy coronal hole is currently observed on the Sun and is expected to start affecting Earth somewhat earlier than previously forecasted, already from the second half of the day on Sunday," scientists warned.
It was previously predicted that the plasma stream would not reach Earth before Monday.
Scientists noted that the effects of the solar wind will be felt for about two days, including Tuesday. Moderate solar activity is currently forecasted, which is classified as a weak magnetic storm.
