"Lidl" boldly celebrates its five-year anniversary: for the first time in the history of retail in Latvia, the shelves of stores will be filled with unique, specially created blue products. Starting from May 7, shoppers can expect a limited edition range – from blue ice cream to the legendary blue curd cheese bars.
On the shelves of the stores, not only blue curd cheese bars will appear, but also blue cookies, yogurt, and ice cream – in total, shoppers at Lidl stores will be able to find 10 such products. These items will stand out not only for their unusual color but also for their unique packaging dedicated to the five-year anniversary.
"In celebrating this anniversary, we decided that a too serious celebration does not match the spirit of our company. It is important for us to offer people low prices and high standards of quality, but if we are going to celebrate, let it be joyfully – so that there is a reason to laugh together and bring novelty to everyday shopping. It may be hard to believe, but the blue curd cheese bar seems to me one of the tastiest I have tried. I advise everyone to dare and try!" – says Neringa Podkopaeva, Marketing Manager of Lidl in the Baltic States.
What blue products can be found on Lidl shelves?
Starting from May 7, Lidl stores will feature 10 specially marked blue products. This color will adorn the favorite confectionery items of shoppers – donuts and cookies with cherry filling. In the freezers, blue blueberry ice cream will be available, as well as blue cheese pancakes and ravioli with chicken meat. A week later, on May 14, the shelves will be stocked with blue yogurt with spirulina and vanilla, as well as curd cheese bars with bubble gum flavor. Snack lovers will be pleased with chips in a special festive design. In the non-food category, shoppers will be surprised by blue shower gel, and for home decoration, even blue roses will be available.
The blue color has been the foundation of Lidl's identity worldwide for over 50 years and for five years in Latvia. It is a symbol of trust and recognition, which in the anniversary year has found a direct reflection in the products.
Exclusive blue products in limited quantities will be available in all 39 Lidl stores in 16 cities in Latvia.
Additionally, a grand lottery is currently underway, and five winners will have the opportunity to shop for free for a whole year, specifically for a total of 4000 euros. As reported, the retail chain Lidl has kicked off the season of its five-year anniversary in Latvia with the campaign "Best Prices in Five Years." In honor of the anniversary, a special song by Lauris Reiniks has been created, and various entertainment events and surprises are planned.
