Lunchtime: The Perfect Meat Sauce for Pasta

Traditional Italian sauce with ground beef, tomatoes, aromatic herbs, and red wine

 

Ingredients:

Ground beef - 900 g
Onion - 1 pc.
Garlic - 3 cloves
Dried parsley - 2 tsp.
Dried oregano - 1 tsp.
Dried basil - 1 tsp.
Dried thyme - 1 tsp.
Red wine - 1 cup
Canned tomatoes - 350 g
Fresh parsley, parmesan - for serving
Salt, pepper
Olive oil

Cooking method:

1. Heat a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, stir with a spoon, and sauté until golden brown.

2. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and herbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.

3. Pour in the red wine and cook, stirring, until the liquid has completely evaporated.

4. Add the crushed tomatoes and mix thoroughly. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Boil the pasta until cooked, pour the sauce on top, and garnish with fresh parsley and grated parmesan.
